Do you have experience coordinating, developing, negotiating, and executing all client/sponsor contracts and change orders for newly awarded and on-going projects?
 
Contract Analyst II role within ICON: 
 
ICON has a strong reputation in our approaches to clinical development.   We apply scientific and operational excellence across all phases of clinical trial outsourcing services for our clients.   We work with top pharmaceutical organizations on emerging therapeutic areas which include but are not limited to Oncology, Vaccines, CNS, Cardiovascular and Pain.  We are presently in over 40 countries with over 80 offices worldwide and over 10K employees globally. 
 
The Contract Analyst II will understand the operational department’s tasks and roles within the task as well as cost drivers within ICON. Develop a good working knowledge of ICON’s costing tools, client budget grids, and any tools and templates developed within the contracts management group.
Coordinate, develop, and negotiate contracts and change orders for newly awarded and on-going projects at ICON.  Solicit input and review of contracts and change orders from the relevant operational departments. Understand reasons and, when warranted, challenge supporting information provided by the project team related to budget changes (timeline, specifications, tasks, hours, etc.) and that the budget changes are reasonable and justified. Understand basic legal language contained in MSA's, Letters of Intents, Start-up Agreements, and standalone contracts and the business impact of such language. Build relationships with ICON project teams, sales, proposals, finance, project analysis, and ICON management. Build relationships and understand work practices with clients and other ICON business units. Provide the relevant information, analysis, and recommendation required for negotiations and discussions with clients regarding cost proposals/change orders/contracts to the Contract Manager, the respective Sales personnel, and project teams. Ensure clear and direct communication when corresponding (verbally or written) with the ICON project team and client on the status of the contract and/or change order. Organize, lead, chair, and manage internal meetings and/or client related meetings required related to contracts and change orders.  Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international.

To succeed you will need:
We are seeking candidates with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year of experience in proposal development, contract management, or work related.
 
To be successful you will be expected to demonstrate the ability to work independently, be highly motivated and be a strong team player working well in a strong team environment. Demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter and function in a high paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication (oral and written) and organization skills. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package
