Financial Analyst II
 
Location: Dublin South
 
The Financial Business Planning group is the departmental financial analysis function of ICON. The department role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.
 
The Financial Business Planning group plays an integral part in enabling ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating finances and strategy.
 
Role responsibilities include:
  • Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance.
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Individual contributor who will be responsible for their own work within their functional area.
  • Must communicate and contribute to his/her customer (whether manager or project lead). *
  • Must have the ability to cleans (and/or analyze) sizeable/complex data sets.
  • Take ownership for a defined set of deliverables.
  • Must be a strong team player, provide guidance to others and have the ability to contribute to the overall success of the team.
  • Take ownership for FP&A deliverables including preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, operational metrics/KPIs, management reports and presentations including commentary
  • Participate in proposal process with focus on opportunity pricing deliverables
  • Perform other reasonably related duties, analysis and special projects as assigned by management  team
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Experience & Knowledge Requirements:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Demonstrate ability to interpret data (analytical skills), with ability for problems solving.
  • Numerate with financial understanding.
  • Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization including senior management.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and influencing skills.
  • Desire to continue their financial education (CFA, MBA, CPA, CMA or other relevant financial education)
     
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or local equivalent, in accounting, finance, business or related discipline.
  • Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA, CIMA etc.)
