This role is responsible for the delivery of HR support and consulting services to people leaders who are aligned to business objectives. This role will be based in our North Wales PA office and work on global initiatives with peers in support of business partner and company initiatives.
The HR Manager role will support
service lines and employees based in North America. You would have regular interaction with senior
leaders, partnering with them on enhancing management capability and meeting
business objectives through their teams.
You will develop a strong business understanding of the company and
service lines to provide coaching and consultation to people leaders about
current and future needs, support people strategies, plans and processes, as
well as provide guidance on employee relations and coach people leaders how to
handle difficult situations. You will also support people leaders in developing
their leadership voice through skillful employee communications in support of
the desired culture. You will come to the role with the ability to engage in
difficult discussions with the business, challenge, and influence decision
making while driving changes where needed.
HR Managers at ICON support implementation of strategic talent plans
both from a corporate standpoint as well as specific to the service line. You will identify opportunities for process
improvement, program initiatives and roll out programs and trainings that
support and drive business objectives.

to independently and proactively identify gaps and then, being a proactive
problem solver, to use data to assess, analyze, and remove road blocks by
making actionable recommendations. We
are searching for someone who is comfortable interacting and presenting in
front of organizational leadership while understanding and ensuring the
employee experience at ICON is representative of our culture. We want this person to proactively identify
gaps and anticipate needs for the assigned client group by identifying the
needs of the business and ascertaining trends and gaps for management
development that will impact company performance.

Our candidate will have 5 or more years of HR experience in a leadership or
management role; strong generalist knowledge in the areas of employee
relations, performance management, strategic management, training &
development; excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to
be flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment; and a demonstrated
ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of employees
including senior management. You should
have an understanding of HR laws and practices and a Bachelor’s degree (Masters
or PHR/SPHR certification is desirable).
