Learning Media Specialist I

The Learning Media Specialist 1 will be part of the Learning Solutions team and produce a range of learning content (e.g. screen-captured videos, interactive walkthroughs, infographics, animation, audio and video) to enable global communities of learners and expert practitioners across ICON PLC. *LI-MB1

Working in Learning Solutions, and under the lead of the Learning Media Manager, you will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, Learning and Development specialists in ICON University and team mates in to produce relevant, purposeful and engaging experiences. You will be creative and curious; looking to improve your own skills and remain up-to-date with the industry. You have experience of developing assets from idea to delivery, of managing your own workflow and adapting your approach to the context.

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Produces learning media. Works with other learning professionals to storyboard, script, produce, edit and review
• Develops, publishes and maintains libraries of learning content shared across the team
• Works within defined processes and methodologies, and proposes improvements to processes and methods, to ensure quality standards are achieved
• Provides guidance and aid to colleagues with less experience; trains and upskills the ICON university team in media design and pre-production
• Identifies and proposes opportunities for innovation and improvement drawing own personal experience, best practice in a rapidly-changing industry and active knowledge sharing with peers
• Ensures efficiency in daily routines and support a quality service; solving problems as they arise with technical expertise and a sound understanding of precedent
• May design and deliver structured training appropriate to the need and audience (e.g. workshops, one-to-one, online deliver to remote tutors, etc.).

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Experience in media design and production, preferably in a learning context
• Understanding of the concepts and theories of digital design applied in a practical context
• Web design (HTML5, CSS, javascript etc) is essential
• Expert in a range of production tools (Adobe, Captivate, etc.)
• Strong visual communications and a storytelling sensibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience across a range of devices and platforms and an appreciation of audience (e.g. design for mobile) is an advantage
• An understanding and ability to apply usability and user experience principles is not essential but a very desirable attribute
• Experience in digital learning is not essential but a very desirable attribute

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
