 Medical Director Role within ICON:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. Our Medical Directors serve as a medical lead on assigned projects and as global medical lead as requested, ensuring provision of all contracted activities and identification of out of scope activities.

Overview of the role: As a Medical Director, you will oversee study specific medical/safety monitoring activities, ensuring compliance with ethical, legal and regulatory standards as well as ICON and client/sponsor SOPs. Coordinate and provide medical training, review/approve protocols, case report forms, informed consent forms and other study documentation. Represent the department in business development activities and provide functional/departmental oversight the absence of the Senior Director/Vice President 

Role Requirements

·         Medical degree and Board Certified as a Neurologist -post-graduate experience .

·         Significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably with a strong background in CNS (central nervous system) clinical trials.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluency in English, supervisory or project management experience and be able/willing to travel approximately 10% of the time, including international travel.
