Senior Business Applications Analyst:

Location: Chennai, India

Summary

Responsible for maintaining production application environments. Additional responsibilities include maintaining applications in the development and test environments for pre-release testing. Perform application administration monitoring services, reviewing system and application logs. Provide technical support including maintenance of installed applications software; implementing, configuring, and testing new product versions with end users; Interact with business users to troubleshoot installation and implementation issues; Maintain proper system documentation and regularly review and maintain the ICON IT knowledge database to improve overall customer experience.

Job functions

• Recognise , exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which centre around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance

• Perform critical Application Administration activities including the following

• Assist in the support of Applications in use within ICON.

• Must be able to complete individually assigned tickets within defined SLA

• Set up User accounts and User permissions on applications

• Maintenance of support documentation and files according to departmental policy

• Assist in the upgrades/implementation projects.

• Support of Applications within ICON and to meet SLA.

• Provide Assistance to Business Application Analysts

• Contact Application Support Vendor when required.

• Ensure that all activities that apply to Application adhere to GCP regulatory and company SOP's.

Responsible for pro-actively looking at ways to reduce number of

support calls.

• * Assist in the planning, development, validation of upgrade/implementation projects.

• Responsible for liaisons with ICON staff on support related activities.

• Define, write and modify WPs related to support activities.

• Define Support Requirements and identify critical failure points for new applications.

• Ensure new developments interface successfully with existing business systems.

• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge requirements

• Excellent organizational and written skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels in our organization are essential.

• The qualified individual should have a strong technical l knowledge of computer hardware, desktop and database applications and must be able to work independently or as a team member for our organization .

• A minimum of 5 years in an application support or other computer support services.

• Ability to manage support for 6 -8 applications

• A working knowledge of the system development life cycle and general application support standards

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Compute r Science or a related area .
