Job Title: Senior Statistical Analyst or Statistical Analyst or Statistical Programmer II

Senior Statistical Analyst role at ICON: 
 
In this position, you will be responsible for performing statistical analysis planning, statistical analysis and statistical reporting.  You will support project conception and design as well as study start-up activities.  Write statistical methods sections of study protocols, perform sample size and power calculations, and review database specifications.  In this role you will also program basic and specialized statistical procedures and/or SAS/Graph.  You will participate in development and delivery of presentations as well as development of abstracts and manuscripts. You will communicate with clients or investigators as needed.

To Succeed You Will Need:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in a related field such as statistics, epidemiology, quantitative research methods, biology/medicine, etc. 
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the following: SAS Data step with simple and complex conditional statements and variable creation; simple merges and concatenation; analyses using basic statistical procedures.
  • Experience with the following: macros and arrays for repetitive tasks; complex merges (including one-to-many merges); descriptive statistics procedures for summarizing, restructuring and outputting data; SAS Output Delivery System to control output from statistical procedures; at least one advanced SAS statistical procedure or technique (e.g., repeated measures, survival analysis, SAS/Graph, advance macros, etc.)

Statistical Analyst I role at ICON: 
 
In this position, you will be responsible for performing statistical analysis planning, statistical analysis and statistical reporting.  You will support project conception and design as well as study start-up activities.  Write statistical methods sections of study protocols, perform sample size and power calculations, and review database specifications.  In this role you will also program basic and specialized statistical procedures and/or SAS/Graph.  You will participate in development and delivery of presentations as well as development of abstracts and manuscripts. You will communicate with clients or investigators as needed.
 
 
To Succeed You Will Need:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in a related field such as statistics, epidemiology, quantitative research methods, biology/medicine, etc. 
  • No experience necessary with Master’s degree.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in the following: SAS Data step with simple and complex conditional statements and variable creation; simple merges and concatenation; analyses using basic statistical procedures.
  • Experience with the following: macros and arrays for repetitive tasks; complex merges (including one-to-many merges); descriptive statistics procedures for summarizing, restructuring and outputting data; SAS Output Delivery System to control output from statistical procedures; at least one advanced SAS statistical procedure or technique (e.g., repeated measures, survival analysis, SAS/Graph, advance macros, etc.)
 
 
Statistical Programmer II role at ICON: 
 
In this position, you will be responsible for statistical planning, derived dataset creation, analysis and reporting.  You will also support project conception & design and study start-up activities, review database specifications and develop statistical analysis plans with oversight.  This role will also be responsible for creating table shells, uploading/downloading data transfers, conducting initial review of raw variables, producing written specifications for derived variables and performing quality control checks.  You will also identify and program appropriate statistical procedures with oversight and support the design of deliverables. 
 
To succeed you will need:
A Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in a related field such as statistics, epidemiology, quantitative research methods, biology/medicine, etc. plus 2 years of relevant experience.
 
OR
 
A Master’s Degree without relevant years of experience.
 
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 
Working knowledge of the following: SAS Data step with simple conditional statements and variable creation; simple merges and concatenation; analyses using basic statistical procedures.
 
Exposure to the following: macros and arrays for repetitive tasks; complex merges (including one-to-many merges); descriptive statistics procedures for summarizing, restructuring and outputting data; SAS Output Delivery System to control output from statistical procedures; at least one advanced SAS statistical procedure or technique (e.g., repeated measures, survival analysis, SAS/Graph, advance macros, etc.)
