Technical Project Manager
Location – Raleigh, NC or Sugarland,TX
 
 
Competitive Package
                      
Manage activities associated with the technical aspects of project execution with a focus on managing the software development lifecycle.
 
Overview of the Role
 
As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international
Serve as the primary technical contact on projects for ICON customers
Manage and lead the complete project delivery software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Resource assignment and management of those performing SDLC tasks
Review, approve, and maintain project system documentation
Ensure project systems are built and released in accordance with client expectations
Collaborate with Project Operations or Clinical Operations for project delivery
Manage and lead the project system change control process
Manage projects in accordance with established timelines, budget, quality standards, and/or contractual requirements.
Other Duties as assigned
Assignment of resources and tasks related to the project SDLC
Manage staff performing tasks related to the SDLC
Lead, motivate and mentor staff support staff
Role Requirements / Skills / Experience Required
 
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in clinical research
Basic knowledge of EDC Technologies and Processes
Software Development
Analytical skills
Leadership skills
Organizational skills
Documentation skills
Communication skills
Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel.  Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.
