I began my career in Clinical Research 14 years ago and I’ve been a part of ICON since 2010. At university, I studied Biomedical Science, majoring in Biochemistry and Human Physiology, and after completing my Bachelors Degree, I started working in research laboratories. Since then, I’ve progressed through a number of positions including CTA, CRA, Snr CRA, Project Manager, and Clinical Operations Director. I’ve enjoyed moving all over the world; I’ve lived in the UK and USA and, since joining ICON, I’ve been based in Sydney, Australia.
I’ve just begun my MBA studies and I’m also working towards re-completing my Project Management certification. I’ve had direct experience of clinical operation in all the major global markets and my career has been primarily focused on biological agents, although I have had extensive therapeutic area exposure.
My favourite thing about my role as Project Management Director is the level of communication required and the real diversity of the people I get to meet and interact with day-to-day. I’m also very lucky because I have one of the best line managers at ICON who is consistently supportive to me. I can’t believe how fast my time with ICON has gone so far! I’m kept so busy working on client and study projects as well as internal business projects, and I’m very much looking forward to my future with the company!
