ICON CRAs nominated for PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year
We’re incredibly proud of our CRAs at ICON and we believe that they’re the best in the business. But don’t just take our word for it. Two of our Clinical Research Associates - Derek Ansel and Angelo Evans - have been recognised in the PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year competition, scooping nominations for New Clinical Research Associate and Experienced Clinical Research Associate respectively.
The prestigious international competition has this year attracted entrants from 48 different countries around the world, giving research professionals the chance to compare and benchmark their skills against those of their peers. The awards are judged by an independent committee of industry leaders and every entrant in the competition will receive mentoring and feedback.
To reach the finals, candidates had to record a high score on a multiple choice questionnaire based on ICH/GCP/FDA regulatory guidelines before responding to a Clinical Challenge. The next step is Finals Day, taking place at the Georgia World Conference Centre in Atlanta on April 17 - the same day as the black-tie awards ceremony. Finalists will complete a challenge and present back to the judging panel, who will ultimately decide on the winners of each category.
The recognition for Derek and Angelo is a great reflection on the work our team does to drive excellence and deliver consistent performance. Angelo’s nomination is also noteworthy as it coincides with his 10 year ICON anniversary, celebrating a decade of dedicated service with the company. Angelo is regarded as one of ICON’s highest performing Principal CRAs, so his recognition at this global scale is especially exciting.
Our finalists will receive valuable feedback from experts in the biopharmaceutical, site management and CRO industries, further boosting their knowledge in the field. It’s a great honour and we’re thrilled to be supporting them at this event.
Centre stage at ACRP expo
The Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP) 2016 Meeting and Expo brings together more than 2,000 clinical research professionals to focus on the conduct of clinical trials. It’s the biggest annual clinical research education and networking event of its kind, hosting more than 100 education sessions for professionals in the industry. It’s a huge event and we’re thrilled to announce that ICON will be a part of it.
Meet our recruitment team at booth 209 in the expo hall, from April 16-18. Attendees can find us in the Exhibit Hall at the Georgia World Conference Centre, where the Meeting and Expo will run in conjunction with the finals and awards ceremony for PharmaTimes Clinical Researcher of the Year.
With 10,300 ICON employees across 77 locations in 28 countries, we’re committed to delivering excellence in the pharmaceutical, biotechnical and medical device fields. We’re proud to employ some of the brightest minds in the industry, and would love to discuss ICON opportunities with you at the event. Be sure to come and say hi!
