Account Executive, Firecrest

Location: Decentralized, US

Position Summary:

The Account Executive will establish and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients to identify, qualify, promote, position, and close new business wins for Firecrest.

Job Description:

• Conducts market research to identify new clients and potential clinical research projects.
• Researches, identifies, and maintains key points-of-contact at target accounts in Salesforce.
• Responsible for conducting sales funnel building activities and keeping Salesforce up-to-date with all relevant selling activities
• Understand CRO selection criteria and decision making process at new and existing clients.
• Coordinate, attend and represent ICON in industry meetings and conferences and conduct effective promotion, follow up and tracking activities.
• Collaborate with Strategic Alliance VP's on Tier I accounts and Global Account Directors (GAD's) on Tier II accounts.
• Collaborate with other ICON Service Area BD Account Executives in cross-selling activities.
• Travel (approximately 40%) domestic
• Effectively identify and pursues new business opportunities while enhancing relationships with existing clients
• Achieve individual sales goal and sales objectives established within Workday
• Provide excellent customer service to external and internal clients
• Champion the development of winning strategies for project proposals (and other deliverables) including but not limited to communicating with clients, internal Project Directors and Project Managers and providing text and supporting study budget reviews
• Coordinate and develop relationships with internal operational staff in support of preparing for proposal defense meetings
• Develop and implement territory plans and key account strategies within Salesforce
• Keeps abreast of industry trends, competitors' services and acquisitions
• Maintain regular communication with Executive Director, Business Development and ensure timely input of RFP, meetings and notes into Salesforce
• Actively engage ICON executive management in all major business opportunities, as needed
• Develop and maintain long-term client relationships to ensure repeat business
• Ensure highly effective presentation and communication skills and continue to develop these skills though job training and external programs
• Undertake any other reasonably related tasks that may be assigned from time to time
• Firecrest Specific Goals:

- Conduct online and in person demonstrations of FIRECREST solutions

- Tailor trial specific solutions that are focused on accelerating trial execution

- Be the voice of the sponsor during internal platform development discussions

Requirements:

• Minimum of completed Bachelor's degree or local equivalent.
