Account Manager, Language Services
The Account Manager supports efforts to maintain and expand upon client and vendor relationships for the assigned C&SR department or functional team and cross-functionally. The Account Manager owns one or more accounts or targets and is responsible for understanding client’s business objectives and spearheads planning and execution of services ensure timely delivery with the utmost quality. The Account Manager supports the development and training of more junior staff. The Account Manager has a firm grasp on the process and deliverables of their functional team and actively contributes to process improvements.

General

· Travel (approximately 15%) domestic and/or international.
· Actively supports the growth and integration of service areas with ICON's Clinical & Scientific Research (C&SR).
· Proactively and independently expands knowledge base on constantly evolving industry-related trends and news and best practices.
· Develops awareness of the pharma I biotech I medical device industry landscape as it relates to department specific service-related trends and challenges.
· Develops up to date understanding of the specific nature of key dient relationships and supports the building/broadening of these relationships where appropriate.
· Proactively develops new business opportunities and drives revenue growth through regular and meaningful communication.
· Anticipates the key information that team, customers, and senior management stakeholders need in order to make informed decisions and communicating that information proactively
Functional
· Manages a portfolio of active dients; handling dient communications, quotation requests, deliveries of projects, project issue resolutions and revenue control.
· Determines project feasibility and develops quotations that adhere to the agreed project scope, process requirements and any applicable timelines.
· Prior to project launch, develops clear project hand-off packages for project management staff in accordance with the contract and client expectations.
· Actively contributes to organizational learning by obtaining client feedback and tracking issue resolution.
· Conducts and contributes to the strategy and content of presentations for bid defence meetings.
· Develops junior staff by carrying out designated training plan.
· Contributes to the development of competitive RFPs/RFI responses addressing clients project needs.
· Responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant SOPs, policies and procedures.
· Such other duties and tasks as are allocated to you at the reasonable discretion of the Company.
SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Experience
· US/LATAM/CAN: A minimum of 4 years work experience in a similar role.
· EU/APAC: Prior relevant industry experience.
· Experience speaking to clients about service area capabilities
· Experience conducting and contributing to the strategy and content of presentations for bid defense meetings.
· Dynamic presentation skills and great interpersonal skills.
· Fluency in English both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills, and the ability to clear1y present solutions to clinical and pharmaceutical clients.
· Organization and leadership skills.
· Proven ability to work in an environment that is fast paced.
· Problem-solving capabilities.
· Strong team player in a multi-language/multitasking environment.
· Self-starter and pro-active.
· Anticipate and respond to client and/or project needs without prompting.
· Able to identify stakeholders and stakeholder needs, roles objectives and strategies for large, global projects and multi-project programs.
· Demonstrate awareness of key competitors and how our service offering can provide a superior experience to our clients.
· Takes action to achieve goals and targets; is consistently reliable in delivering time sensitive demands and ongoing commitments with minimal supervision.
· Expert proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
· Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employees' location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers' license.
Knowledge Requirements
· Understanding of the pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device industries.
· Solid in-depth knowledge of industry best practices.
· Understanding of the competitive landscape related to the services of the department.
SECTION 4: EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree, or local equivalent, in life sciences, business, technology, information technology or related discipline.
