Role summary
 
We are looking to recruit Analytics Developer as part of a specialist team responsible for developing visual analytics on clinical data for ICON’s informatics platform ICONIK - http://www.iconplc.com/innovation/iconik/. You will be responsible for maintenance as well as development of analytics solutions for central monitoring. This is great opportunity for an Entry Level Developer with a passion for technology and desire to develop expertise in quality management sciences.
*This role can be based in Dublin, Paris or Warsaw*
 
 
What we need you to do:
  • Use data mapping, extraction, transformation and load techniques to develop outputs for central monitoring analytics requirements, utilizing SQL and SAS
  • Design and build cross-page visualization solutions in enterprise visual analytics tools;
  • Build information models, including database write-back and write R and python scripts to support visual analytics solutions.
  • Communicate analytics requirements and solutions to other team members and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with a team, providing input on new analytics-driven methods for safety signal and trend detection.
  • Adhere to clinical risk management department quality control procedures.
  • Train new team members in foundation level analytics competencies
  • Embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
 
What we're looking for:
 
 
  Qualifications and Experience
 
 
  • Undergraduate level qualification in Natural Sciences, Computer Science, Information Management or Information Technology, or have gained experience in a similar discipline.
  • Experience in developing in R, SAS or any other SQL languages
  • Deep understanding of data modelling and manipulation techniques, including ETL
  • Good data analysis skills
  • Understanding of data structures and data warehouse
  • Ideal, but not essential, experience with data visualization platforms TIBCO Spotfire or Tableau
 
 
  Skills/abilities/competencies
  • Demonstrate ability to learn new technologies, applications and techniques
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
  • Desire to complete a task to set standards
  • Passion to provide the right data in the best format
  • Relevant work experience is highly preferred
