Our Commercial Business Partnering Group sits within the Commercial Services arm of ICON.

The role of Financial Analyst II is aimed at providing independent, objective, financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to specific clients within the business. It also involves preparation of financial analysis to enable ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic and well-adapted approach to financial decision-making and strategic direction.

Role responsibilities include:

• Day to day management and ownership of portfolio of studies, co-ordination with internal project teams to deliver monthly client reporting.
• Ownership of specific clients and the related reporting including preparation of analysis, forecasting, metrics and dashboards to support the client in their financial planning process.
• Develop, build and prepare external client financial reports related to study and portfolio Sponsor requests. Requests may entail significant excel-based data compilation and financial analysis. Recommend actions for optimizing report performance and understanding financial trends.
• Supporting the Strategic Alliance VPs and other Operational Senior Management in routine and ad-hoc external reporting. Including Joint Oversight Committee meetings, Executive Oversight Committee meetings, etc.
• Support Manager with client deliverables within the wider client portfolio.
• Support Commercial Affairs with the analysis necessary for developing study proposals and bids.

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

• Ideally a Qualified Accountant or relevant years’ financial analysis experience
• Strong capacity to assess financial implications of operational decisions with the ability to query, communicate and drive actions - we want someone who is not afraid to push the boundaries and venture into a world of the unknown.
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Effective verbal and written skills to work with peers, managers and Business Lead executives
