Director, Feasibility Strategy
Location: Remote (United States or Europe)
Position Summary:
To direct and participate in the development of unique feasibility strategies for assigned therapeutic areas with the intent to create a competitive edge in winning projects for ICON. The incumbent is responsible for producing and validating the most cost effective placements of studies aligned with customer specifications and delivery timelines. This job will include search of competitive intelligence information, including historical and current studies, published literature, as well analyzing data and writing proposal text.

- *Review and analyze Request For Proposal (RFP) information.
- *Serve as direct line manager
- Train and mentor Feasibility Managers in the evidenced-based methodology of protocol feasibility strategy development, enrollment modeling, site identification and site selection
- *Ensure company-wide understanding of the role and contribution of the team.
- *Liaise with the Feasibility Manager to ensure effective feasibility strategy is in place to provide a robust, evidence-based site and country distribution.
- *Validating that the proposed geographic distribution of countries and sites is the most beneficial from a cost and overall business perspective
- Provide management review and oversight of department deliverables.
- Actively participate in developing relevant metrics to measure the impact of feasibility strategy, including country and site recommendations and enrollment projections.
- *Work with Clinical Operations to develop a sound clinical strategy that includes protocol-specific considerations and challenges and solutions.
- For assigned projects, lead the research, analysis, interpretation and reporting of feasibility data, and preparation of material for bid defense
- Develop and drive new initiatives that contribute to enhanced corporate performance, or differentiate ICON from competitor organizations. This includes taking on leadership roles in special business development projects in protocol feasibility testing, including leveraging clinical electronic data, such as EMR, for secondary use
- Work to improve tools that allow for a robust, evidence-based strategy.
- Develop and build strong relations with all internal and external customers, ensuring clear communication channels are maintained at all times.
- Assess and develop strategy any process improvements to ensure effective and consistent approach to the proposal development and bid defense processes to remain competitive within the market place.
- To lead and manage project Feasibility during standalone Feasibility work (Awarded).
- Support training initiatives and other department initiatives.
- Ability and willingness to travel as required (usually <10% of the time).
- Seeking opportunities for continuous process improvement and specific area expertise shall be demonstrated by embracing and contributing to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs
- Perform as an expert resource to project teams for requested feasibility services during change in scope "rescue" situations
- Initiate, conduct, coordinate, analyse and report feasibility studies as contracted:
- On time
- On budget (managing staff resources)
- Meeting Sponsor objectives and expectations
- In coordination with the SiteID Lead per RACI
- Develop appropriate country and site selection plans and analyse/interpret results to provide protocol feedback and to make appropriate country and site recommendations based on objective analysis (ranking, for example)
- Document and track feasibility study results for future use
- Perform as an expert resource to the Feasibility team. This shall be achieved through a number of ways that includes, but is not limited to:
- Participation in Systems improvement groups
- Delivery of Associate education (FM Forum)
- Mentoring less senior Feasibility associates
- Participation in performance appraisals
- Leading by example
