Director, Project Management - Real World and Late Phase Research

Are you a seasoned clinical research leader with experience directing global portfolios in Late Phase clinical research?

Director, Project Management, Real World & Late Phase Research role at ICON:

As a Director within our Real World & Late Phase Research, you will provide leadership to effectively coordinate and manage the activities of a large cross functional multinational portfolio of studies and project teams in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control

You will effectively manage the activities of assigned staff, which may include directors, project managers and others in a manner that ensures all timeframes and targets are met and that costs are kept under control. You will serve as a senior level liaison with clients, overseeing project delivery and revenue management. Also will represent the department in Business Development activities and meet assigned revenue targets. The role will provide leadership and assist the VP with effectively managing Late Phase department.

Role Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent, in medicine, science or relevant discipline. Masters degree and Late phase experience preferred. Significant research experience required including 6 years of project management and 5 years of line management experience. A minimum of 3 years late phase experience required. Track record of successfully managing large/complex global cross functional projects; strong domestic and international project management experience. Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
