Position Summary:

The Financial Business Partnering (FBP) group is the financial analysis function of ICON. The department’s role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to give, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.

This Manager position reports to the Senior Director of FBP and supports key business planning and commercial decisions, interpreting and driving performance and quality within the ICON Commercialisation and Outcomes (ICO) Service Line.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Partner with Operations teams and leaders to support strategic operational decisions and drive positive financial performance.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to Operational & Financial management to guide decision-making for impact on financial performance.
• Full ownership for monthly forecasts and budget reconciliations to ensure accuracy of reporting for two or more business units.
• Preparation of monthly reporting packages for business leaders with insightful analysis and clear actions to achieve budgets.
• Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and requests.
• Development and preparation of annual budget
• Responsible for management of 1-2 direct reports
• Other duties as requested.
• Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.

Experience & skills:

• An ability to distill and summarize large, complex and potentially conflicting data sets
• Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunities
• Effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Business Unit executives.
• Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent teammate and provide leadership to junior team members
• Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks at a time
• Prior relevant experience in business partnering, financial planning and analysis preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase an advantage.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and/or at least 5+ years’ relevant experience.
