Financial Analyst II
 
ICON plc, a leading Contract Research Organisation, employing approximately 13,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks an experienced and highly motivated Financial Analyst II to join the Finance Team at its Leopardstown Global HQ.  
 
The Role:
 
As Financial Analyst II, you will provide operational and financial analysis to ICON’s largest service line, the Clinical Research Services Division (CRS). Working with internal stakeholders, you will use your strong analytical skills to develop a deep understanding of the portfolio of work, form an opinion on the short, medium and long term financial outlook of the portfolio and identify future financial risk/opportunity.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial forecasts and budget reconciliations
  • Identification of key Revenue and Margin drivers within the portfolio
  • Build strong working relationships with the CRS Project Management group
  • Support the pre close review of Revenue to ensure accuracy of reporting
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packages for operations with insightful commentary and analysis
  • Support the development and preparation of annual budget for CRS
  • Support the preparation of ad-hoc management presentations

What you need:
  • Qualified or Part Qualified with a desire to continue their financial education (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or other relevant financial education).
  • Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunities.
  • Prior relevant experience in financial analysis or financial planning and analysis is preferred, but not required.
  • Effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Business Lead executives.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop as an ICON employee and member of the Clinical Research Industry.
