Financial Analyst II – ICON’s Functional Services

Location: Dublin

Are you looking for a dynamic and meaningful Financial Analyst role in the finance function of an Irish headquartered Plc?

Are you a qualified accountant with 2- 3 years’ experience within Financial Analysis?

The Financial Business Planning group is the departmental financial analysis function of ICON. The department role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to add value, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.

The Financial Business Planning group plays an integral part in enabling ICON to accomplish its objectives by bringing a global, systematic, disciplined approach to evaluating finances and strategy.

You will join a professional and expert finance team focused on making an impact globally and supporting ICON’s mission – to help its clients accelerate the development of drugs and medical devices that save patient lives and improve their quality of life.

Day to Day Responsibilities will include:

• You will be an individual contributor who will be responsible for their own work within their functional area.
• You will have the ability to review and analyse complex data.
• Take ownership for a defined set of deliverables.
• Must be a strong team player, provide guidance to others and have the ability to contribute to the overall success of the team.
• Take ownership for FP&A deliverables including preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, operational metrics/KPIs, management reports and presentations including commentary.
• Participate in proposal process with focus on opportunity pricing deliverables.
• Ad-hoc projects.

To be successful in this position you will need:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Excellent analytical skills demonstrating the ability to interpret data.
• Have an outstanding ability for problems solving.
• Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization including senior management.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
• Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and influencing skills.
