Position Summary

The Financial Business Partnering (FBP) group is the financial analysis function of ICON. The department’s role is to provide independent, objective financial and consulting services designed to make valuable contributions, direction and leadership to assist the business in attaining success.

This Analyst position reports to the Senior Director of FBP and supports key business planning and commercial decisions, interpreting and driving performance and quality within the ICON Commercialisation and Outcomes (ICO) Service Line.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:

• Provide financial analysis to operational & finance management on the historical financial performance and future outlook of portfolios of projects within the ICO service line.

• Contribute to our culture of operational improvement with a focus on streamlining processes for consistency across the consultancy businesses in ICO and development of project level analysis capabilities.

• Analyze key operational and financial metrics to see opportunities to improve profitability.

• Preparation of monthly reporting packages for Operations with insightful analysis and clear actions to achieve budgets.

• Support the development and preparation of annual budget for ICO.

• Preparation of ad-hoc management presentations and requests.

Experience & skills:

• Proven academic record

• An ability to distill and summarize large, complex and potentially conflicting data sets

• Analytically minded, seeks out problem solving opportunities

• Emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy

• Effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Business Lead executives.

• Ability to meet deadlines and perform multiple tasks at a time

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase an advantage.

• Prior relevant experience in financial planning and analysis is preferred, but not required.

Education Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA, CIMA.

• Bachelor’s Degree, or local equivalent, in accounting, finance, business or related discipline.
