At ICON, we have an incredible opportunity for a Financial Analyst II to join the team in our Leopardstown, Dublin 18 location.

The Role:

This successful candidate will be an integral member of the Commercial Finance team at ICON. The role of the Commercial Finance team at ICON is the front-end negotiation and management of commercial terms, at both partnership and transactional levels that maximize downstream financial and operational performance and minimize the associated legal and contractual risks.

• Support the Commercial Finance function for ICON's Laboratory Services division
• Provide high quality, timely support to the Proposals team to ensure client proposals are commercially sound
• Work with Commercial Finance colleagues to ensure holistic, client orientated solutions are provided for multi-service opportunities that include Laboratory Services
• Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with the Business Development team and senior leaders in various functional areas
• Liaise with Legal team, and directly with clients as required, on commercial terms in client agreements and multi-year service contracts
• Pro-active and front-loaded holistic analysis (including Legal, Operational, Commercial considerations) for specific deals
• In collaboration with Operational colleagues, ensure integrity and accuracy of standard cost rates for Laboratory tests so as to facilitate informed decision making for new opportunities
• Effective utilization of available financial and operational tools and data to aid better decision making
• Support client-specific rate card analysis and development
• Perform margin assessments for Lab study level opportunities
• Participate in the development of bespoke pricing tools for Laboratory services

What you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree or local equivalent, in accounting, finance, business or life sciences.
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA etc) would have an advantage
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to inspire confidence
• Ability to interact with and influence a variety of personnel across the organization
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and manage projects
• Demonstrate ability in being able to switch between micro and macro view
• Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
• Very strong focus on accuracy and quality of information provided; attention to detail
• Very strong focus on delivery of quality outputs in a timely manner to clients (internal and external)
