Instructional Designer - Firecrest (Limerick or Dublin)

Firecrest are a leading organisation responsible for the development of clinical training for medical staff, the Instructional Designer role is critical to the delivery of accurate, relevant and engaging training products to our clients.

The Instructional Designer will work with Subject Matter Experts to understand the source content and script content that is technically accurate, clear, concise, and meets the client’s needs.

The Instructional Designer will apply the principles of learning and instruction, and will work with Graphic Designers to design training products that are engaging, visually appealing, and instructionally sound.

This would suit someone with a scientific background, maybe a published individual or a medical.

Role

• Script high-quality training products, including e-learning programmes and online information tools, within the timelines agreed with the Operations Project Team Lead.
• Prepare and complete the audio orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Work with the Graphic Designer and SME to develop a training product that is instructionally sound,  presents the information in an engaging manner, flows well and holds the attention of learner from start to finish
• Approve the final training product to indicate that it meets our internal writing and instructional design standards.
• Implement client edits and use these edits to identify potential product improvements.
• Implement new and innovative ideas to on-going projects, and share these ideas with the wider Instructional Design Group.

Requirements

• Prior experience in the creation of medical or science-based content.
• Prior relevant experience in instructional design, specifically in the area of e-learning, is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent writing skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work with complex and intricate content.
• Strong creative and design skills.
