IPG Systems Analyst *LI-

The Investigator Payments Group (lPG) works closely with other ICON departments to facilitate timely and accurate delivery of investigator payments in accordance with executed contracts and adhering to ICON policies and procedures, for all studies where ICON is contracted to conduct these services.

 

The role of the Systems Analyst is to:

  • Provide system administration and support for investigator payment-related applications
  • Provide support for application development projects
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned applications and have a good working knowledge of other ICON applications and their impact on assigned applications
     

Role responsibilities include:

  • Recognize, exemplify and adhere to ICON's values which center around our commitment to People, Clients and Performance
  • Provide timely, high quality support for system users.
  • lnterface with users to collect study setup requirements.
  • Complete technical setup of studies.
  • lnterface with lT to evaluate, resolve, and communicate system-related issues impacting users and escalate to the Systems Manager and Support Manager, as applicable.
  • Escalate application issues with a perceived high user impact to the Systems Manager and Support Manager.
  • Capture user feedback on system applications and/or associated operational processes and provide input to Systems Manager. Actively participate in application user groups.
  • Proactively engage system users in discussion of system issues and provide training, or facilitate the development of training materials, under the direction of the Systems Manager.
  • Demonstrate increased understanding of the business' needs and priorities by working in conjunction with the application owner in troubleshooting issues, scheduling system changes, and coordinating between lT and the business to provide input related to requests for new system features/functionality.
  • Demonstrate increased proficiency with assigned applications by troubleshooting more complicated issues and assisting in application development activities.
  • Proactively review system data and identify any training needs or system issues.
  • Take part in and where necessary coordinate the writing and review of application training material.
  • Participate in system testing by writing, review, and execution of test scripts.
  • Actively participate in training and/or mentoring junior personnel on standard day-to-day activities
  • A willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends when operational requirements dictate other functions, as assigned.

  • Prior relevant experience related to Clinical Trials and Clinical applications is preferred.
  • The qualified individual should have a good technical knowledge of information systems and database applications.
  • Increased ability to operate pro-actively and independently to identify solutions to non-standard requirements and issues.
  • Specific user experience with key ICON or Vendor applications relevant to Investigator Payments is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and written skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels within the organization are essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to adjust to the changing demands of the business, utilizing time management and prioritizatron skills to adapt and meet deliverables.
  • An aptitude for communicating effectively with individuals who have varied levels of 9 system/application knowledge and adjusting communications accordingly.

 

Education Requirements:

·         Bachelor's degree or local equivalent preferred, or will have relevant experience for the position
