IT Security Op Analyst

ICONs mission is to help our customers accelerate the development of drugs and devices that save lives and improve the quality of life.  Icon is seeking to hire a Cybersecurity operations analyst to join their Cybersecurity Operations team.

Reporting to the Cybersecurity Operations Manager, the successful cybersecurity operations analysts is responsible for the following:

·          Governance of IT security controls within ICON and responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual tasks outlined in the security Operations Runbook.

·          Investigate cybersecurity incidents and perform technical analysis.

·          Respond and resolve cybersecurity incidents.

·          Act as a team dedicated to incident response globally.

·          Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.

·          Active participation within the ICON Change Control process.

·          Respond and track security incidents within ticketing system.

·          Provide input into the patch management processes.

·          Monitor security tools for security threats.

·          Ensure critical assets are on boarded into security monitoring

·          Approve/Reject security requests within ticketing system

·          Work to resolve vulnerabilities that are identified from vulnerability scans, penetration tests and other security assessments on ICON infrastructure.

·          Ensure compliance with ICON Information Security policies and hardening standards.

·          Ensure that defined security models are adhered to on an on-going basis.

·          Be an escalation point for security incidents

·          Ability to leverage technical skills to correlate data to streamline analysis process

·          Ability to relate technical issues to non-technical associates / business owners

·          Other functions as assigned by ICON Cybersecurity Operations Manager.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will gain experience of operating in a technically complex, fast changing and dynamic environment.  Working as part of a global security team the cybersecurity operations analyst must be a self-starter, have excellent organisational and communications skills.  They should also have a solid understanding in the following areas:

SIEM and incident monitoring tools

NIST cybersecurity framework and experience in tools utilized to deliver capabilities

Incident Analysis, Incident Response, Information Security Policies

Anti-Virus & Anti Malware , Firewall Administration, Web Application Firewalls

Application layer vulnerabilities

System Administration, Network Protocols, Network Security

Routers & Switches, IPS/IDS

Load Balancing

Problem Solving

Process Improvement

Certifications: CISSP, HCISSP, CISM, SANS SEC503, OSCP
