- As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
- Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international.
- Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day activities of the analytical laboratory including direct responsibility for developing and performing assays on biological samples from pre-clinical and clinical trials as needed.
- Plan and coordinate the daily operational activities for employees.
- Manages projects and workload assignments and timely completion by group.
- Sets goals, assigns and coordinates tasks, ranks priorities, monitors performance, and evaluates performance.
- Identifies the key elements of a situation and any gaps and inconsistencies in data. Makes rational judgments from available information and analysis.
- Applies a variety of scientific principles and concepts to complete deliverables.
- Participate in conference calls with Sponsors on scientific matters.
- Responsible for quality and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Plans and maintains sufficient resources to accomplish group tasks.
- To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Supervise staff in the department.
- Evaluate, coach and motivate staff.
- Promote and participate in professional development of scientists and laboratory facilities.
- Set clear goals and objectives with staff.
- Takes ownership to lead and develop that team.
