- Development of detailed assessments of Data Protection & Privacy Risk obligations to include management of ICON’s data processing records;
- Development of metrics and dashboards to support ICON’s business lines;
- Development of internal process and procedural documentation as operational demands evolve;
- Provide front-line support on centralised dedicated Data Protection team mailbox;
- Actively evidence ongoing improvements to governance processes and standards;
- Support and engage in the development of an appropriate Regulatory Compliance Framework;
- With colleagues, provide front line data protection support to global cross-enterprise business projects;
- Delivery of a dynamic agenda, under tight timelines but maintaining very high standards of quality and output.
- Qualified Lawyer
- Evidence of strong data protection, regulatory compliance and interpretation skills and business processes experience;
- Some experience of engaging with Regulators – both in written correspondence and in face-to-face engagements;
- 2+ years` work experience, of which the majority of time should be in working in a risk/audit/compliance focused environment;
- Ability to provide intellectual rigour to understanding and interpretation of regulatory compliance requirements;
- Technical and up to date knowledge of regulatory and industry guidelines for privacy/data protection management and risk mitigation within a life sciences sector;
- Proven strong interpersonal skills, including negotiating and influencing;
- An ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing;
- Confident, articulate and independent minded approach;
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills in order to produce reports, and presentations to high quality;
- Copes well under pressure.
- Experience in supporting or interacting with independent business units within a large and complex organisation
