Legal Counsel

• Review, draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts on ICON’s behalf such as confidentiality agreements, service agreements and consultancy agreements.
• Advise management and internal operations teams on all aspects of ICON’s global strategic resourcing business.
• Support the management of contract disputes and investigations which may arise from time to time.
• Collaborate with ICON’s Real Estate and Facilities Team to advise on global property matters.
• Maintain and revise standard contract template library and process documents for contract negotiation.
• Craft and apply fall-back for the negotiation of contracts.
• Advise non-legal staff on contract language and negotiations, as well as requests outside of established negotiation parameters.

• Commercial contract or corporate transaction negotiation and drafting experience working in-house or for a top tier law firm preferred.
• Experience in advising on employment and property law considerations will be an advantage but not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Large law firm or corporate plc or pharmaceutical/CRO/biotech industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise effectively.
• Ambition to progress to management role within ICON legal team over time.
• Solutions focussed with strong work ethic.
• Great teammate and relationship builder with excellent interpersonal, communication, diplomacy, organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to up skill in areas outside core competencies.

• LLB or equivalent law degree.
• 1 -4 years PQE
