This role can be based in Ireland, UK, France, Spain Poland, Hungary or South Africa - office or remote working.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

- As a manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
- Travel (Up to 10%) domestic and/or international
- Ensure understanding and adhere to all assigned ICON SOPs and working procedures
- Ensure all work performed is of high quality, compliant with Good Clinical Practice, ICH Guidelines
- and all applicable laws and regulations
- Complete all assigned training and courses in the ICON Training Management system (ilearn);
- ensuring that mandatory courses are all completed before the designated date and that the required
- system specific training has been completed for current studies
- Record all billable and non-billable time in the appropriate timesheet management system (e.g.PlanviewTM)
- Ensure effective resource allocation and workload balancing across assigned teams.
- Provide resource projection on an ongoing basis to Management as appropriate.
- Identify and organize the training needs as appropriate in co-ordination with CTD.
- Support recruitment of resources.
- Address performance issues promptly and devise a development plan to address areas for development.
- Develop and deliver internal and/or external presentations as required.
- Provide other general duties as required to support the company.
Supervision Responsibiities:
- Manage local data management teams to ensure project objectives are met within budget and agreed timelines.
- Support and Mentor junior staff and extend technical expertise on an ongoing basis.
- Manage staff and set clear goals and objectives.
- Perform interim/annual performance appraisal of assigned team members and identify gaps and propose development plans.
- Effectively manage work priorities of self and direct reports, delegating responsibilities where appropriate.

Candidate Requirements:

- Relevant clinical data management experience. Supervisory experience including experience project management, resource planning, staff recruitment, performance evaluations, career development and training. Must have experience of managing first line people managers.
- Appropriate experience and understanding of at least one clinical data management system (e.g.
- RAVE, INFORM, OCRDC)
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a changeable environment.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Due to the nature of this position, it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee's location. The employee may be required to possess a valid driver's license.
