Finance Manager – Business Partnering (11 Month Contract)

ICON plc, a leading Contract Research Organisation, employing approximately 14,500 employees across 97 offices in 38 countries, seeks an expert and highly motivated Finance Manager to join the Finance Team at its Leopardstown Global HQ.

The Role:

As Finance Manager, you will partner and provide financial analysis and guidance to a range of budget owners within ICON’s Global Business Service line. Working with these internal partners, you will use your strong analytical skills and accounting knowledge to develop a deep understanding of multiple departmental cost drivers & variables in order to provide support in identifying and delivering on cost saving initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• You will work towards achieving financial targets in conjunction with Budget owners.
• Preparing annual budget & monthly forecasts for specific GBS functions.
• You will prepare monthly reporting with insightful commentary and analysis thereon including identification of key cost drivers and variables within the departments.
• Build strong working relationships with Senior Executive budget owners and their respective teams.
• Collaborate with the wider finance function to ensure the accuracy of reporting through information sharing.
• Support and collaborate on Business Case & Management presentations and ad-hoc requests as required.

What you need:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or other relevant financial education).
• Analytically minded with inquisitive nature, seeks out problem solving opportunities.
• Prior relevant experience in financial analysis or financial planning and analysis is preferred, but not required.
• Strong, effective interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to communicate with peers, managers and Executives.
• Super influencing skills, comfortable to challenge ideas when required.
• Eagerness to learn and develop as a ICON employee and member of the Clinical Research Industry.
