Manager, Global Data Services Labs

Farmingdale, NY

The Manager, Global Data Services labs will manage all operational aspects and policies of the ILS Global Data Services Department to ensure client satisfaction. They will manage the creation and execution of protocol specific electronic data files with high quality and Sponsor/Protocol specific standards applied and will help develop (along with Director of GDS) and data synergies with other ICON Service lines so Laboratory Services is integrally involved in the ICON Corporate Data Plan.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with ILS Applications Development in designing and supporting a global data warehouse supporting all Laboratory Services data systems.
• Be responsible for a Program of Projects as assigned by the Director of Global Data Services and to manage key client relationships
• Responsible for overseeing the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of projects within the Programs ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals within Global Data Services. Create and maintain Program specific standards as applicable
• Support the growth of the business through new awards and ensuring client satisfaction for all Global Data Services customers. Supports operations management and growth of strategic client partnerships and supports the development of proposals for new work.
• Create new processes of ISL group so that data is managed within the GDS group
• Support business development executives at client meetings/ bid defense and client partnership development (attend meetings, present GDS and be SME support)
• Apply knowledge of relationships within the organization to ensure successful projects and positive interactions
• Lead or participate in initiatives related to the development of departmental continuous improvement initiatives as it relates to standards, training and quality
• Effectively communicate information, both oral and written, in a manner that is clear, concise and understandable
• Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Lead and / or participate in departmental / inter-departmental projects and groups e.g. superuser committee or blinding committee

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Significant Sponsor and Client Interaction and Experience Preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Business Objects
• Experience with databases, medical terminology, clinical trials, or the ILC ICOLIMS systems preferred.
