Instructional Designer - Scientific/Medical

FIRECREST is a leading organisation responsible for the development of learning material for clinical staff. The Instructional Designer role is critical to the delivery of accurate, relevant and engaging content to our clients.

The Instructional Designer will analyse clinical trial protocols and script content that is technically accurate, clear, concise, and presents a scientific story in a logical, engaging style. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with Graphic Designers, Clinical Trial Experts, Editors, and Project Managers.

This role would suit someone with a qualification in Life Sciences, a published individual, or an individual with writing experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.

Role

·         Review clinical trial protocol updates/amendments to assess their impact on existing training content.

·         Script high-quality training content, including e-learning programmes and online information tools, in accordance with the clinical trial protocol.

·         Work with Clinical Trial Subject Matter Experts to ensure the technical accuracy of the content.

·         Apply the principles of learning and instruction to ensure that the training content presents the information in an engaging and logical manner, flows well and holds the attention of user from start to finish.

·         Use defined templates, formats, and styles to ensure that content meets internal, client and industry requirements.

Requirements

·         Prior experience in the creation of medical or science-based content.

·         Excellent writing skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

·         Demonstrated ability to work with complex and intricate content.

·         Ability to work across teams (often remotely) as well as independently.

·         Prior relevant experience in the area of e-learning is preferred but not essential.
