Firecrest Clinical is part of the ICON plc Group and produces highly visual and engaging products for the Clinical Trial Industry. Firecrest products help improve Site performance by delivering innovative and effective training to sites while complying with Industry Standards. As an organisation responsible for the development of clinical training for medical staff, the Content and Functional Reviewer role is critical to the delivery of accurate and high quality training products to our clients.
The Role:
The Manager of Portal Admin is a critical role providing management, online expertise and portal admin oversight across the entire operational unit within Firecrest organisation, managing the core portal admin team, acting as our portal specialist for both clients and teams.
Responsible for leading and overseeing the strategic and tactical production of Firecrest's clinical trial products including web portals and web portal content. As an organisation focused on the provision of clinical training to doctors, nurses and other clinical staff, Firecrest's reputation is critically linked to the accuracy and applicability of our medical offering and its regulatory compliance across the development spectrum (early phase to phase IV).
The Manager of portal admin will familiarise themselves with the relevant Firecrest components and provide oversight and input into all Firecrest projects I services offered, being available to impart knowledge for each client we service.
The Manager of portal admin will contribute actively and substantially, providing strategic direction and guidance on the operational components of our products across the full Firecrest portfolio to ensure efficiencies, quality and scalable mechanisms are operationalized. You will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the client needs and they will be responsible for identifying other opportunities in he proposed clinical trial where we could up-sell. The Manager of Portal Admin will evaluate and provide guidance on new products offerings from Firecrest to ensure that they are compliant with all regulations using leading edge technologies/processes and meet true clinical need. Along with other members of the Firecrest Management Team, the manager of portal admin will represent Firecrest externally with key stakeholders, publishing papers and presenting at conferences.
Responsibilities:

- Act as management resource to the company as a whole and particularly to the Firecrest clinical department.
- Provide portal design and implementation input to global product development and business development teams and provide operational expertise in the review of product
- Strengthen portal admin and web based knowledge of staff and serve as a resource for portal admin information to Firecrest staff and initiatives.
- Work directly with IT and Software teams to ensure software releases are successfully deployed.
- Advise product development team on features and usability and educate project teams on new and improved portal features and portal admin rationale.
- Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards ensuring that all projects are in keeping with approved timelines and budgets, with potential obstacles identified and solutions implemented to avoid delays in project implementation. Prepare monthly Performance Metrics to measure profitability growth; develop and implements strategies to ensure continued success.
- Provide planning and management to the Firecrest portal admin department by ensuring that appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed and ensures that projects are conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Ensure that the interfaces between portal admin and other departments are managed optimally. Form informal networks with company management, updating them on a regular basis on developments within portal admin and progress made within the portal admin department.
