Mapi wishes to appoint a Research Manager to assist in the growth of our Modelling and Evidence Synthesis department.

                                           
The Position:

Reporting to the Director, Modelling and Evidence Synthesis, the Research Manager will provide line management and project leadership to a team of researchers. The Research Manager will use their market access, health economics and health outcomes expertise as well as applications to lead on project design and execution.

Responsibilities:

Your role will be exciting and varied; you will be involved in a range of responsibilities, including;

• Project leadership: Act as a primary client contact and project leader on a range of projects, ensuring that all deliverable are in scope and of predetermined standards;
• Project delivery: Manage and perform all aspects of research tasks allocated to you by the leader of projects to which you are assigned, or for which you are responsible in projects that you are leading;
• Team Management: Manage line reports and project teams. Provide technical/methodological coaching and mentorship to colleagues, including taking a leading role in training junior staff on a project basis, and collaborating with other senior staff.
• Business development: Work together with the business development team to present Mapi RW&SA services to clients (with senior support); write proposals for projects involving standard methodology (with senior input). Identify new business opportunities and suggest relevant methodologies in a proactive manner.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree or PhD in economics, health policy, public health, epidemiology, bio-statistics or a related discipline;
• Strong proven experience in consulting, the pharmaceutical industry, or academia; 
• Line management experience;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as an established ability to work independently or as part of a team;
• High level of organizational and project management skills combined with demonstrated self-motivation, business sense, sound judgement and an analytical approach;
• Proficiency in planning and motivating others as well as superior interpretative and innovative thinking skills.
• Fluent in English
