The Senior Product Owner / Solutions Architect is a senior technical position requiring a candidate with a proven track record in developing software products for the financial services market. The senior manager role requires experience and technical working knowledge in SOX compliance within the context of the Oracle product suite and integrations to/from those products. *LI-MB1

JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel (approximately 5%) domestic and/or international
The Software Development Life Cycle for one or more products
Logging Defects
Detailed Product Knowledge
Detailed understanding of feature requirements including base feature, documentation requirements, related administration requirements, testing, and validation
Mentoring to Junior engineers
Responsible for updating tickets
Responsible for Feature Documentation
Working to understand validation requirements
Responsible for Code Peer Review
Reporting to Software Manager
Reviewer of Test Standards and Process
Developing good estimates of effort required for analysis, design, and development so as to feed into overall sprint planning.
To undertake other reasonably related duties as may be assigned from time to time..
SUPERVISION
Provide leadership to global development teams to ensure products are developed to agreed timescales and quality

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

10+ years relevant industry experience including experience in architecting complex solutions in the finance and payments space.
Experience leading a team of developers, setting standards and best practice and setting out a clearly defined roadmap
Experience defining and owning and application roadmap and ensuring the roadmap aligns to the business strategy
Excellent verbal and written communication skill are a must.
Deep Understanding and experience in developing within the Oracle Application Stack including Oracle Financials, Oracle DB and Java EE
Any previous experience & knowledge of building web services, use of messaging technologies and stream processing concepts and platforms would be an advantage
Thorough understanding of Microservices architectures and ideally experience of building such solutions: Spring Boot/Cloud, JAX-RS, Microservices platforms.
Experience of automated testing and performance testing using common industry tools: e.g. JUnit, Arquillian, JMeter.
A passion for Continuous Integration/Delivery.
A deep understanding of the different types of NoSQL data stores would be an advantage.
Any JavaScript experience, including UI frameworks, would be an advantage, as would HTML5 + CSS3.
