- Works with all key stakeholders and technical resources that must participate in a project ensuring that assigned tasks are completed within the parameters of the business plan.
- Creates, maintains and issues weekly status reports as well as daily, annual and weekly schedules.
- Orchestrates internal resources in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
- Drives and manages the workflow of all team members and resolves conflicts.
- Manages product/project/service expenses: the development of quotes, creating and maintaining budgets, creating monthly product reports, holding product meetings to review expenses, bill-backs and profitability, etc.
- Ensures that all systems and procedures on the team are consistent with Company-wide systems and procedures.
- Communicates with and engages Project Management Teams and others with regard to all issues in order to maintain or exceed standards of quality relative to client deliverables.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the team managing to the plan to ensure the quality of assigned projects.
- Collaborates with staff and freelance team members and provides ongoing guidance to the project team regarding items including but not limited to structure, scope of content, technology requirements, art and design and development needs of the project to ensure that team members are meeting the product’s marketing and creative goals.
- Participates in product reviews for assigned projects to ensure accuracy and market sensitivity of programs art, design, text, process design, technical applications, etc.
- Checks and approves proofs of the project at various required stages, including bluelines and final color in editing/publishing-related projects or similar.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of project/program management and/or coordination experience
- Working knowledge of design, editorial, technical and production processes and accounting functions in a pharmaceutical, medical education, managed care and/or consumer health related industries.
- Strong business knowledge required, preferably in the area of pharmaceuticals, client services/account management, the healthcare market, the medical industry and/or medical communications and publishing.
- Agency experience preferred
- Project Management Certification (CPM) a plus
- Must be a self-directed professional, able to multi-task and lead cross-functional teams
- Must have strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
