- As a Manager, the employee is expected to recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
- Travel (<10%) domestic and/or international.
- Lead collaboration with the MM/CRP team, Medical Affairs Specialists and Administrative team in support of Medical Affairs projects
- Provide project management as contracted
- Assist physicians in identifying and development of project training materials
- Ensure that project training is completed and documented across all staff assigned to the Medical Affairs team.
- Assist MM team in initiation and coordination of change order activities
- Assist MM team in addressing costs (working knowledge of medical costing tool) in support of RFPs and reviewing associated text
- Support MM team with regards to financial project oversight
- Liaise with other functional ICON teams as appropriate in support of MA tasks
- Oversee scheduling and conduct of periodic project review meetings
- Ensure communication between MA and PV teams as relates to project activities
- Collaboration with the Medical Affairs team members to proactively identify issues and plan resolution
- Provide appropriate resources to support the Medical Affairs services across projects
- Support the identification, development, and implementation of training materials as they relate to departmental tasks (pricing tool, revenue recognition, OMR, ICONik, etc.)
- As a Senior Manager level staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processing, adding value to our business and meeting client needs
- Keep senior management appraised of any potential/actual medical or staffing issues or risks and develop solutions for same
- Monitor metrics, performance and staffing and issue reports to update senior management
- Support the MA Director in global resource planning/allocation of Medical Affairs Specialist and Administrative Support Staff
- Provide mentorship and oversight to Medical Affairs Manager and MA team as required
Supervision
- Supervises Medical Affairs Manager, Medical Affairs Specialists, Medical Affairs Coordinators, and CRPs locally and/or regionally
- Supervises local administrative team
- Maintain and grow supporting staff’s skills, encourage growth and provided regular performance feedback (LM)
