Sr. Site Management Associate

Location: Tokyo, Japan or Osaka, Japan

Position Summary

Sr. Site Management Associate is responsible for managing the day to day activities at clinical sites in respect to the laboratory. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: being the laboratory subject matter expert for the site, conducting remote site visits, answering any questions sites may have in respect to collection, processing, and shipping of laboratory visits, coordinating activities with local couriers, acting as a regional liaison between the site and other ICON Laboratory departments, helping facilitate delivery of abnormal laboratory result flags, and helping facilitate the database reconciliation process.

Job Description

  • Travel (approximately 10%) domestic and/or international.
  • Provide technical support to Investigator Sites, CRA, and Sponsors on questions or issues pertaining to protocol requirements including collection instructions, shipping, and supplies and testing
  • Investigate problems related to subject visits, until resolution is complete, by issuing outgoing queries, addressing incoming queries/answers from sites as well as responding to internal queries.
  • Notify Sponsors, Investigators, and/or CRAs of values as specified per protocol or laboratory SOPs.
  • Perform minor database updates pertaining to subject or visit information and investigator/CRA contact details.
  • Order supplies/kits for sites as per Sponsor, CRA, or site request.
  • Serves as the primary contact for sites and investigators participating in studies within defined geographical location
  • Acts as a resource for internal study teams and other ICON departments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or local equivalent, in medicine, science or related discipline.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Native Japanese and High business English skills are required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee's location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.
  • Excellent written and oral skills while showing cultural awareness and understanding; strong presentation skills, proactive interaction with study team and site staff
  • Demonstrates ability to provide and receive constructive feedback; appreciates team goals, respects others point of view and seeks advice when appropriate
  • Works effectively in a complex, business environment with many different stakeholders having different priorities.
  • Takes responsibility for project tasks and sees these tasks through to successful completion
  • Completes special projects and miscellaneous assignments as needed to meet project and/or department objectives
  • Maintains professional interpersonal relationships with team, sites, and Sponsor
  • Demonstrates flexibility working across different time-zones and working with internal and external teams
  • Able to adapt to changes in deadlines, competing project demands and changes in the nature of assignments
  • Works independently with minimal direction; successfully handles increasingly complex tasks/assignments
