Talent Acquisition Specialist (Dublin) *LI-MB1
ICON is seeking an experienced in-house Talent Acquisition Specialist to be responsible and accountable for the end to end recruitment service, providing a consultative and collaborative approach to all stakeholders ensuring recruitment strategies are developed and executed, compliance maintained and effective recruitment metrics and objectives are met.
Overview of the Role
- Responsible for producing global recruitment plans, aligning with the business succession planning, developing and maintaining relationships with executive level customer stakeholders and holds a sound level of knowledge of the business they are aligned to.
- Build and manage relations with all internal and external stakeholders to provide a proactive exceptional customer service ensuring a positive image and awareness of the company is promoted at all times. This will include working with the HR Business Partners to understand and manage succession planning of all divisions.
- You will be able to design innovative sourcing strategies to attract candidates from within the marketplace in a cost effective manner.
- Develop strong awareness and understanding of the business and functional areas of responsibility to target and hire best talent.
- Work in partnership with hiring managers, providing guidance, support and recommendations on candidates for interview.
- Ensure efficiency in time to hire is maintained, while maintaining a high level of accuracy within ICON’s Applicant Tracking System.
- Have a good understanding of the local labor and candidate markets for areas of responsibility to provide guidance to the business/stakeholders on demographics and sourcing strategies.
- Design resourcing plans, define role requirements and develop innovative sourcing options including networking, headhunting and building talent pools.
- Negotiate rates/salaries, present and sell candidates within their business areas to Hiring Managers, ensuring that all processes are followed in line with the agreed methodology
- Provide a high level of candidate care and ensure frequent communication is deployed (e.g. debriefing candidates, keeping candidates ‘warm’).
- Manage own workload to ensure a best in class recruitment service is delivered, ensuring the most effective sourcing strategies to maintain cost per hire. Enhance and encourage awareness of internal referral program and where required, focused effort on diversity.
- Recommend, coordinate and participate in hiring events such as Job Fairs, external recruiting and other networking events.
- Measure the performance of preferred suppliers and reduce dependency through innovative and creative direct delivery methods;
- Forecast placements based on demand, changes in the customers’ business, the candidate pipeline and trends in business demand.
- Produce timely and accurate activity and Management Information reporting for your business areas.
- Produce communications to a high standard (e.g. advertisements) and in accordance with the customers brand guidelines if required; Drive and deliver relevant customer presentations and evaluation/review meetings at VP/Director level.
- Develop and maintain pro-active and constructive relationships with VP/Director level by demonstrating an understanding of the business, the associated requirements and set expectations accordingly.
- Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement plan to drive activities in appropriate business areas.
- Understand and deliver market intelligence for the business area.
- Actively partner with the business to identify their talent pool and grow future successors, consider gaps when hiring.
- Create customer commercial value through responsive recruitment services and the delivery of cost effective results.
- Build collaborative relationships with Hiring Managers and other key stakeholders, managing issues, escalating as required.
- A sound understanding of recruitment best practice tools and methodologies (e.g., job profiling, sourcing, selection and assessment).
- Undertake project work as required.
- Keep abreast of market intelligence and industry trends (e.g., new technology, recruitment metrics, and legislative changes).
- Travel (approximately 20%) domestic and/or international.
Role Requirements / Skills / Experience Required

- Previous proven experience / or relevant experience of working as a top performing recruiter with in depth proven experience recruiting for leadership level positions with ability to manage high volumes of recruitment activity, preferably in an internal setting and with the same/relevant industry.
- Exceptional customer service experience with demonstrated ability to effectively assess customers’ needs, quickly respond and problem solve.
- Proven ability to be pro-active in engaging stakeholders and candidates over the telephone and face to face at all levels.
- Experience communicating with and interviewing senior level candidates.
- Experience of producing documentation for senior stakeholders.
- In-depth experience of using a wide range of direct sourcing methods to attract suitable candidates in line with cost constraints.
- Working within a fast paced environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure with multiple vacancies.
- Have a proactive and methodical approach with the ability to work to key targets, under pressure and within tight timelines with multiple vacancies to source.
- Excellent prioritizing and organization skills to work methodically and accurately within a compliant and regulated business with the ability to link business objectives with recruitment strategy.
- Ability to work independently within a team environment, using own initiative and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to influence.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and all levels and build strong relationships, ability to listen and understand the needs of the business and candidates.
- Must have up-to-date knowledge of innovative and attraction & selection methodologies and strong track record of successfully networking externally with global experience as required.
- Ability to negotiate rates/salaries, and present and sell candidates to the business.
- Experience of designing assessment processes for executive level positions.
- In-depth experience of using Taleo with PC proficiency including Microsoft Office and related Packages.
- Flexibility of working with different time zones.
- Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree or local equivalent preferred.
