- Own activities associated with the technical aspects of project and data delivery execution starting with read design and user requirement gathering through system maintenance and retirement.
- Coordinate and perform activities that involve the stakeholders at each milestone.
- Assemble, coordinate, and Perform check ins for; initial drafting of functional specifications, functional specification finalization and handover, development check points, development handover, UAT handover, Client Demo, and Lessons Learned.
- Author or manage development all project related documentation to ensure thorough coding and testing.
- Collaborate with all users to define acceptance criteria, prioritize bugs, and feature requests into requirements for project releases.
- Schedule and resource management for all staff involved with the SDLC and data delivery.
- Schedule and run meetings with end users and customers to ensure the delivery of the project is accurate, on time, and on budget
- Serve as the primary technical contact for project execution and data deliveries for both ICON internal customers and Client customers.
- If not authoring, review all project system documentation to ensure consistency and accuracy of user requirement implementation
- Ensure project systems are built, released, and data deliveries are in accordance with client and internal ICON customer expectations
- Test pre-go-live systems, review, and recommend changes to stakeholders
- Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements/configuration documentation and Client demonstrations.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
- Collaboratively adapt existing and develop new project plans, processes and communication standards for the operations teams.
- Assist with management activities for systems in development, validation and production.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Own the communication and execution of solution hand-over to client services, service delivery, technology and other team members at designated milestones.
- Travel (approximately 10%) domestic/or international travel
- Other duties as assigned
- Assignment and oversight of tasks of dotted line reports
- Generate, manage, and perform duties in accordance with the department budget
- Effectively lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality and excellence
- Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses of team members and suitably make changes if required
- Resource management skills and ability to handle complex / sensitive issues
- Encourage team interaction, boost employee motivation and appreciate team contribution
- Ability to match project tasks with opportunities for development so that employee potential is utilized to the maximum

- US/LATAM/CAN: a minimum 3 years’ experience in clinical research
- EU/APAC: prior relevant experience in clinical research
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SDLC Processes
- Software Development

- Documentation skills
- A minimum of 3 years with Client-facing project management activities
- Minimum 3 years in system deployment and understand different programming languages.
- Intermediate level ability to troubleshoot software configuration and performance bottlenecks
- Problem solving, analytical and communication abilities.
- Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.
