DOCS is seeking a Vice President, Operations to provide leadership for, and oversight of, DOCS evolving portfolio of programs.

About the VP, DOCS Operations within DOCS at ICON:

This is a distinctive opportunity to drive operational excellence in Program Management with a leading provider of Functional Resourcing Solutions to the Clinical Trials Industry.

In this role you will report to the Global President of DOCS and will line manage Program Directors providing direct oversight of individual programs under your remit. You will lead oversight to DOCS growing FSP programs, which includes successful delivery of a full portfolio of FSP and Resourcing Programs to ensure they are in line with agreed budgets and timelines.

You will hold responsibility for delivery of program portfolio, development of DOCS program delivery expertise, account management and client satisfaction, business development and also financial accountability. Managing clients' expectations and the Account relationship to ensure issues and clients' needs are proactively addressed.

Act as Operational Expert for New Business Opportunities that relate to FSP and large scale Programs. Participate in / lead bid Business Development Activities, as required. Oversight and accountability for Program finances across the Portfolio and within each program. Regular status reporting on programs to the Executive Leadership Team and Operational leadership. Ensure appropriate Governance Models and robust succession plans in place for each program. Work with Business Development to maximize opportunities with existing accounts and to drive repeat business

To succeed you will need:

The successful candidate will possess a educational degree with 15+ years experience conducting and overseeing clinical trials and ICH GCP. You will need extensive direct line management experience within a global environment while managing Director level staff. Program management skills, commercial awareness and program finance and operational P&L experience. Ability to travel at least 30% internationally and preferably in close proximity to a major ICON or DOCS office.
