We are looking for Account Directors to join our winning team rated by Forbes as America’s best mid-size employer for 2017!
In this position, you will be responsible for the ongoing maintenance of existing business as well as generating and closing new business opportunities within the account(s). You will have a major role in coordinating existing projects, ensuring that liaising with client and Company staff is efficient and effective for both parties. Also responsible for generating and closing new business opportunities within the account.

Responsibilities:
- Drive the business unit to attain set revenue goals
- Ensure business unit establishes and maintains profitable working relationship with clients.
- Manage and lead business unit teams through the delivery and confirmation of repeat/ongoing business
- Make regular client visits to develop relationships and identify new business opportunities.
- Work with the Director, Business Group and Controller, etc. to generate, monitor and achieve sales forecasts, revenue and year end goals
- Manage the business unit to drive efficiency and productivity while optimizing profitability.
- Maintain a high understanding of medical communications agencies and the pharmaceutical vertical.
- Take on a leadership role through involvement of relevant professional organizations
- Build strategic partnerships with client(s) and serve as the client liaison.
- Review literature on regular basis and offer client input and strategic direction.
- Work closely with Medical Director to offer strategic input and support to client.
- Work with supervisor and other Company staff members to ensure new business opportunities are in line with division capabilities and business needs.
- Work with Operations and Editorial Managers/staff to ensure project specifications, details and client needs are fully understood by project staff.
- Identify, develop and close new business opportunities
To Succeed You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) is a plus
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, account or product management in a healthcare related advertising/communications agency or pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of managed markets required
- High-level service skills, oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize work, meet deadlines, multitask and successfully function within a team setting is required.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and problem-solving skills preferred.
- Must be detailed oriented and be able to successfully direct internal business unit teams.
