Associate Outcomes Researcher

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of research consulting services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

 

ICON’s COA group is seeking an Associate Outcomes Researcher to join our team based in Abingdon/London. Our Associate Outcomes Researchers play a key role within the ICON Clinical Outcomes Assessment (COA) group, which focuses on health-related quality of life and patient-focused outcomes research. 

 

This position includes the design and validation of surveys, conducting patient interviews, data analysis and interpretation, literature review, report writing, and client liaising.

 

Overview of the Role 

  • Assist with data collection, including conducting patient interviews (some travel necessary)
  • Assist with data qualitative and quantitative data analysis using statistical and qualitative analysis software (MAXQDA) (experience with these software packages preferable but not essential
  • Draft, review, and assist with client deliverables including reports, protocols, proposals and scientific manuscripts. under the direction of senior team members
  • Assist with article extraction and searches for literature reviews under supervision of more senior team members

Role requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in public health, psychology, sociology, or related discipline, OR:
  • a Bachelor’s degree in public health,  psychology, sociology, or related discipline with strong relevant experience
  • This is an entry level position for candidate with 0-2 years of experience
  • Understanding of scientific research methods and processes
  • Experience or training in survey research.
  • Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative methodology and analysis
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to work independently but also to work effectively as part of a team
