Principal Health Economics- HTA 

ICON Health Economics (HE) is currently seeking to appoint a Principal to join its European Health Economics team located in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, with some flexibility. This team is highly respected in the field of health technology assessment (HTA) for quality and innovation, undertaking consultancy projects for international clients in both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.

The role holder will provide leadership and strategic vision in the definition, implementation, and management of commercialisation strategy and science (CS&S) consulting services.  Leadership of multiple projects and client relationships, responsible for overall quality of team’s execution.  Responsible for contributing to and meeting defined sales, revenue, and margin targets for consulting center and practice, proactively developing new business and client relationships.  Provide executive project and department overview and acts as point of resolution on projects and resourcing issues. Broad involvement in staff management, mentoring and organizational development.  Able to generate follow-on business and manage key accounts, and to prospect new opportunities and accounts.  Drives contribution to thought leadership, staff management, firm building.

Role Requirements

·         Proven track record of publications in Health economics:

§  Modelling

§  Evidence Synthesis

·         Demonstrable experience in:

§  Developing HTA strategy

§  Submissions

§  Attendance at HTA meetings

·         Geographic experience:

§  EU5 – in particular Germany and UK

§  Ex-EU5

·         Strong thought-leadership and client relationship management 

·         Line management experience with experience in managing cross-office teams 

·         Health services degree or epidemiology/economics

This is a permanent, full time position. The salary is competitive and negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. The package on offer to the successful candidate includes the option of private health care, an attractive pension plan and 25 days annual leave initially rising to a maximum of 27 days.
