ICON is seeking an experienced pharmacovigilance professional with expertise in case processing of serious and non-serious adverse events from end-to end and the know-how of driving process improvements through technical advancement. The Senior Drug Safety, Innovation Lead will play a key role on a new project team within ICON’s Pharmacovigilance & Safety Services Group which offers safety support across all stages of the product lifecycle by providing efficient drug safety processes, compiling concise drug safety profiles, and developing tailored risk-management strategies.
About the Senior Drug Safety Associate, Innovation Lead role within ICON:

As a Senior Drug Safety Associate, Innovation Lead you will join a pioneering team that that will be involved in development and execution of cognitive systems and machine learning of pharmacovigilance topics which enhance pharmacovigilance methods used to collect, assess, monitor, and report adverse drug reactions. This could include; preparation and compilation of training texts, conduct of baseline testing of cognitive type models, interactive training to support algorithm tuning, creation, training, development and validation of User Interface and workflows developed as part of our partner’s innovations project.

To succeed you will need:
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 4 years of relevant drug safety and pharmacovigilance experience who possess an RN, Bachelor’s in Nursing, , or RPH or PharmD, or equivalent experience as a licensed healthcare professional.
To be successful you will be expected to have the ability to think strategically, “work in the gray”, in an innovative way and work in a high energy team environment where your subject matter expertise will be used to create an innovative IT based thinking system along with IT team members.
Aggregate report knowledge and all aspects of the PV/Safety environment are essential, understanding of regulatory implications on a global level; High proficiency in working with systems used in safety (i.e.: Argus, ARIS-g, etc.) and the ability to adapt to project needs.
Must have thorough knowledge of regional safety processes and regulations, knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems, good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), organizational skills, communication skills, ability to work independently or lead, ability to self-start and show initiative, and detail oriented. Previous UAT testing experience is a plus.
