Clinical Data Science Programmer

Warsaw, Hybrid

We are currently seeking a Clinical Data Science Programmer to join our Cl Sponsor Dedicated diverse and dynamic team. As a Clinical Data Science Programmer we're looking for a hands-on developer to build and maintain internal tooling for a small, technically-driven team in clinical data management. You'll work on Nushell scripts, Python libraries, and CLI tools that support our data processing workflows — improving what exists and building what's missing.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Build and maintain internal tooling for a small technically-driven team in clinical data management.
• Staying current with industry trends and advancements in data science and clinical research and recommending innovative solutions to enhance data analysis and reporting.
• Refactor and harden existing code — improve reliability, clean up legacy, handle edge cases. Build new tools from team specifications — CLI utilities, libraries, automation scripts
• Participate in code review — both giving and receiving; this is how we maintain quality and share knowledge
• Communicate proactively — explain what you built, share insights, keep the team informed
• Split: roughly 50% maintenance/refactoring, 50% new development.
• Occasionally, you may support operational tasks such as scheduling jobs or making outputs available to the wider team — this isn't the core of the role, but flexibility is valued.

Your Profile:

• Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced certifications in data programming or clinical data science are advantageous.
• Extensive experience in clinical data programming, with a strong background in statistical analysis, data management, and programming languages such as SAS, R, or Python.
• Strong shell scripting skills (Bash, Zsh, or similar); Git Fluency is baseline
• Proven ability to lead and manage programming and develop data science solutions that support clinical research objectives.
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in designing and implementing complex data analysis and visualization techniques.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present data insights to stakeholders.
