Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging

Heading here for accessibility

Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) are fundamental to our culture and values at ICON.

We consider our people to be our greatest assets. Likewise, our diversity initiatives are essential for our people’s success, creating an environment where voices are heard and valued. As a global, values-driven organisation, ICON acknowledges and celebrates our differences in gender, ethnicity, culture and abilities.

Respecting diverse viewpoints and experiences establishes the foundation for our interactions with one another and with our patients, customers and suppliers. To this end, we strive to build teams that reflect the various geographies and communities in which we live and work, as well as the patients we serve.

CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion™

“In January 2024, I was pleased to sign the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion™ pledge, joining more than 2,500 CEOs in the largest business-led initiative to advance DIB in the workplace. At ICON, we consider our people to be our greatest assets.

ICON's Community Groups

ICON’s community groups are another way in which we promote diversity, inclusion and belonging by bringing together employees with common identities and interests.

SPACE – Supporting Parents & Carers Everywhere

The SPACE community group recognises that our colleagues at ICON may need to step-out and step-in at different life stages in their careers. We are committed to creating a workplace were stepping out for a period is wholly accepted and not career limiting, and where stepping back is an organic, positive process.

NOW – Networking Organisation for Women

NOW is the Networking Organisation for Women, a community group that supports women across ICON in their careers. NOW is committed to inspiring and connecting current and potential leaders through an inclusive environment of targeted initiatives and supportive mentorship. We achieve this by using our network to mentor, connect, educate, and raise awareness amongst our community members and our allies and supporters across ICON.

EmbRACE – Ethnicity & Race

EmbRACE is a community group supporting all race and ethnic backgrounds in creating an inclusive workplace culture. Our ambition is to build a culture that is inclusive, collaborative, and accountable, supporting all our people and removing barriers that prevent them from doing their best work and being their true selves at ICON.

DAWN – Disability Awareness Network

DAWN stands for Disability Awareness Network (DAWN). It is a community group committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone is treated with respect and dignity and a sense of belonging irrespective of any visible or hidden disabilities.

PRIDE – Supporting the LGBTQ+ Community
