The sample processors in the labs work on a team of 11 people. They take deliver & manage distribution of samples taken from clinical studies around the world. There is a wider team of 22 in this division. As well as logistical support the position will also involve data entry

The role

  • Taking deliveries (to include dealing with couriers professionally)/ registering in Airbill Receipt
  • Passing lab deliveries in a timely manner
  • Keeping delivery room and SMT area clean and tidy
  • QC and emptying individual recyclable bins
  • Exchanging big green bins
  • Emptying dry ice bins as required/ Raking dry ice
  • QC of frozen shippers/ palletizing/ moving pallets to designated area
  • Discarding gel packs/ biohazard bins from designated trolley
  • Not required to exchange individual biohazard bins
  • Informing supervisor/ seniors if running low on big green bins/ out of space in cage for pallets and other issues that may affect an effective workflow
  • Escalate issues in timely manner for immediate action to be taken
  • Responsible for data entry of patient's demographics into the computer system
