Divisional Principal - Pricing, Market Access and Reimbursement

Flexible location across the USA: Office based or Remote

Recent months has seen a restructuring of Pricing, Market Access & Reimbursement teams providing a new alignment to work more holistically and to better service our clients. To help us achieve this, we are looking for a Divisional Principal, Client Engagement to lead the Pricing, Market Access and Reimbursement client engagement business on a national scale driving strategic collaboration across ICON's business units to provide clients with holistic reimbursement solutions.

The Role:

  • Lead US client engagement team for PMAR (pricing, market access & reimbursement) with accountability to attain revenue and margin goals
  • Focuses on strategic partnerships with biopharmaceutical and medical device clients; expands existing relationships into long term consultative selling partnerships
  • Drive forward strategic innovation for consulting and agency clients through staying current on US reimbursement trends, policy and regulatory changes
  • Proactively pursues new client relationship opportunities and leads the organization to meet changing client needs
  • Responsible for client engagement teams' alignment and collaboration with BD team and across PMAR and broader ICON organizational functions such as HEOR and RWE.
  • Coaches staff and oversees the development of project plans and financials in proposals and achieves good conversion rate of submitted and won proposals
  • Represents service line at internal and external meetings and strategy reviews including presentations/overviews at external conferences
  • Maintain distinguished thought leadership presence at key industry events
  • Serves as PMAR subject matter expert internally relating to risk and barriers to successful win and delivery of projects; acts as voice of the customer as key member of PMAR leadership team and across the broader ICON organization
  • Complies with all relevant SOPs, work programming, time-keeping, iLearns, policies and procedures

What you need to apply for this role, will be a blend of the below factors:

  • Minimum of 12 years of market access, pricing, reimbursement experience
  • Minimum of 5 years with payer focused agency, additional consulting and biopharmaceutical manufacturer experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years in sales management, preferably extended lifecycle, consultative selling, C-suite, account based vertical integration experience
  • Depth of experience in contract negotiation, management, use of Salesforce, etc.
  • Depth of US payer and biopharmaceutical market access decision maker relationships
  • Travel 50-75%, can be based anywhere in US
  • BS required, MBA preferred
