We are currently seeking an Instructional Designer to join our diverse and dynamic team. As an Instructional Designer at ICON, you will play a key role in developing engaging and effective learning experiences that enhance employee training and development. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to create instructional materials that support our mission of delivering high-quality education and training programs. You will work a hybrid model of 3 days a week in our Johannesburg office and 2 days per week at home.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Designing and developing instructional materials, including e-learning modules, training manuals, and assessments, tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to assess training needs and determine the best instructional strategies and delivery methods.
• Utilizing best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles to create impactful learning experiences.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics, and making recommendations for improvements.
• Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and e-learning to enhance training initiatives.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design or e-learning development, preferably in a corporate or healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in instructional design software and tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar).
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and best practices in training and development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Happy to travel to our Johannesburg office 3 x per week and working from home 2 x days per week
