Bioanalytical Lab Analyst I - Full Time w/ Benefits - Greater Kansas City area (Lenexa, KS)

We're currently seeking a Lab Analyst I to join a team of bioanalytical professionals supporting groundbreaking clinical research. The Lab Analyst I is responsible for conducting routine laboratory tests and analysis, supporting sample preparation, maintaining accurate data, adhering to SOPs, and contributing to the overall success of the LC-MS bioanalytical laboratory. You will support appropriate development, validation and use of analytical methods through sample processing and analyzation, calibration, data reporting, and quality control testing.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Record test results accurately in both paper and electronic notebooks, ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Utilize various sample preparation techniques for liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
- Learn operation, analysis, and maintenance of LC-MS/MS systems.
- Support sample preparation using lab automation systems (e.g. KingFisher, Hamilton, Integra).
- Help analyze data and troubleshoot experiments with your team.
- Keep the lab organized, instruments calibrated, and quality standards top of mind.
- Supporting quality control activities by participating in the review and verification of test results and procedures.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a laboratory environment (e.g. from an academic lab, internship, research project, clinical research, or related industry environment).
- Excellent attention to detail, and willingness to learn analytical chemistry and LC-MS/MS workflows.
- Basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and logical problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to achieving team objectives and deadlines
